Though not as well known as in other parts of the United States, the Appalachian mountain dulcimer - also known as the fretted or lap dulcimer - is far from unknown here in Washington State. It is hoped that this blog will make the Appalachian mountain dulcimer much better known within the State.

Bellingham Dulcimer Club Update

Tumbleweed Music Festival
Over this approaching Labor Day weekend, the Three Rivers Folklife Society hosts its Tumbleweed Music Festival in Richland, WA. And the Three Rivers Dulcimer Society will be participating again this year. This year's event will be held on Saturday and Sunday, September 3rd and 4th, at Howard Amon Park, in Richland, Washington. The festival is free and open to the public both days. Along with the City of Richland, the Three Rivers Folklife Society has co-sponsored this festival each year since 1997.
